This section is for dancers who are not currently with the dance group, however during their time as members they went above and beyond in helping Bashkimi dance establish itself and continue its mission in the future.

In her own words: Albanian dance has always been my passion. I started dancing at an early age and I have had the honor to perform dances from different regions of Albania. The dance group "Bashkimi" was found to show Albanian culture, traditions and folklore to the world.
Bashkimi Dance: Erida was gifted with computer skills and whenever the group needed something done electronically, Erida was there to help. Her efforts in updating our photo page and site in general at the time helped Bashkimi Dance move with the times on the web. We will always be appreciative of her efforts.

In his words: You may be asking why I am in this group and I tell you what: We all either work and/or study during the week. On the weekends we all look for a place to which we can escape for relaxation. While some people may find freedom and relaxation in bars, clubs etc (by the way I enjoy those places as well) I love to stretch my legs on the dance floor. For now dancing for Bashkimi Dance Group is the only thing that gives me freedom and makes me truly happy.
Bashkimi Dance: Guljed was someone who was very interested in dance and took that interest to the next level by not only reharsing with the group but by going and getting additional dance training outside the group. Over the years he became an exceptional dancer, but beyond that he launched Bashkimi Dance on youtube. He spent countless hours editing videos for public consumption. For that we will always be appreciative.

In her words: I have always been a fan of Albanian folk music and dance. My first start as a member of this dance group was in 2001. It started more as a hobby, but very quickly it turned into passion, love and appreciation for this part of the Albanian culture. I hope that the future will only bring more success for this group and more acknowledgment for the hard working dancers and of course the talented choreographer, Bashkim.
Bashkimi Dance: Suela always went above and beyond in trying to help the group establish itself and flourish in the future. She came to be known as 'mother' by her fellow dancers because she always took care of all members. Bashkimi Dance will always be appreciative of her efforts. The group was lucky to have her as a dancer and as a 'mother'.
